The Shore Club, the Jersey Shore’s premier family-friendly, member-owned golf club, proudly welcomes Kelley Nigra as its new General Manager. With over 25 years of hospitality management experience, Nigra brings a stellar track record of success to The Shore Club as it embarks on Phase II of its modernization project since being rebranded and relaunched in 2018.

Nigra transitions to The Shore Club from Morningstar Golf & Hospitality. Nigra joined Morningstar in 2016 as the Corporate Director of Food and Beverage for the golf management company’s portfolio of public and private properties. Morningstar supervises The Shore Club’s overall strategic and operational direction and believes Nigra’s extensive knowledge of food, beverage, and member service will benefit the club.

“For several years Kelley has elevated service levels and performance at other Morningstar courses and clubs and helped train our onsite teams to deliver superlative service. She will bring that focus to The Shore Club where I know the positive results will be tangible, from the bag drop to the ballroom,” says Morningstar Golf and Hospitality President Matthew Galvin.

Nigra will play a pivotal leadership role at The Shore Club, supervising extensive renovation and rebranding of the club’s member dining and bar areas, working with the golf staff on the next phase of the course’s bunker restoration, enhancing catered events, and expanding the club’s social calendar.

“I am happy to join an outstanding team of professionals and to enhance The Shore Club experience for our growing membership,” said Nigra. “There is genuine excitement around the club as we continue to upgrade our facilities and services that will ultimately make The Shore Club the best private club experience at the Jersey Shore.”

Nigra’s career in golf hospitality management began in 1991 at the public Bensalem Country Club (Bensalem, Pennsylvania), where she learned all aspects of the club’s hospitality services. In 2007, Nigra’s expertise extended into the private club industry when she joined Yardley Country Club (Yardley, Pa.).

In 2011, Nigra joined the prestigious Talamore Country Club (Ambler, Pennsylvania) as Food and Beverage Manager, quickly taking the lead in assisting and overseeing a 1.2-million-dollar reinvention of the main clubhouse and Food & Beverage Program. She was tasked with every aspect of the project to include: design, layout, décor, equipment, service contracts, staff hiring, training, and menu design.
