Wakefern Food Corp., the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA), Stockton Seaview Hotel and Golf Club and Eiger Marketing Group (EMG) have announced contract extensions of the ShopRite LPGA Classic Presented by Acer through 2016. Originally known as the Atlantic City Classic, the tournament began in 1986 and was officially changed to the ShopRite LPGA Classic in 1992 when Wakefern Food Corp. became the title sponsor. The 2014 event will mark Wakefern's 20th year as Title Sponsor of the event.

“Wakefern has been a wonderful partner of the LPGA over the past two decades and has consistently put on one of the premiere events on our schedule,” said LPGA Commissioner Michael Whan. “Our players love returning to the Jersey Shore each year and playing at such a first-class host club in Stockton Seaview Hotel and Golf Club. We look forward to celebrating the 20th anniversary of their partnership and many more years.”

Albert DeColli has been named director of marketing and membership sales at Hidden Creek Golf Club in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. In his new position, DeColli will be responsible for all facets of marketing and membership development for the club.

For the past two years, DeColli has served as Caddie Master for Hidden Creek, supervising and training the club’s 35 caddies during peak season.

“We are very pleased to promote Albert to director of marketing and membership sales,” said Hidden Creek Golf Club Manager Lori Burke, “Albert has demonstrated a great passion for service to our members and guests. Membership is the foundation of success for any private club, and we look forward to him applying that same passion and commitment in his new role.”

A private club located in Egg Harbor Township, NJ, Hidden Creek has been selected by the United States Golf Association (USGA) to host the prestigious 2015 U.S. Senior Amateur Championship. The club will also host a U.S. men’s Open qualifier in 2014....

Ron Jaworski’s Blue Heron Pines Golf Club in Galloway, NJ, has announced the grand opening of its new 7 Tap & Tavern on Saturday, March 15th from 4-6 p.m.

The public is invited to join host Jaworski and participate in the festivities, which will include sampling of signature dishes and appetizers, sample craft beers from 12 taps, and contests and giveaways. ESPN Radio 97.3 will broadcast live from the event.

7 Tap & Tavern will remain open following the grand opening celebration with drink and food specials after 6 p.m.

The name of the new establishment originates from Jaworski’s jersey number worn during his long and distinguished NFL career with the Philadelphia Eagles.
